Customer acknowledges that initial estimates are based on visible conditions and known symptoms and may change if additional issues are discovered. 3) Additional Work / Change Orders No additional repairs outside the approved scope will be performed without Customer authorization. Customer authorizes the Shop to perform reasonable diagnostic procedures necessary to identify faults. Diagnostic time is billable unless otherwise stated. 4) No Guarantee of Complete Condition (Older / Specialty Vehicle Disclaimer) Customer acknowledges that the Vehicle may be an older or specialty vehicle and may have multiple existing faults, wear, corrosion, prior repairs, or modifications. Customer understands that repairs may reveal additional faults and that the Shop cannot guarantee the condition, reliability, or performance of systems not specifically repaired or replaced. 5) Road Testing / Operation of Vehicle Customer authorizes the Shop to operate the Vehicle as necessary for diagnosis, calibration, and quality control, including road testing. Customer represents that the Vehicle is safe enough to be operated for diagnostic and test purposes. Customer agrees that the Vehicle must be properly insured and registered at all times while in the Shop’s care. Customer agrees that proof of insurance and registration documentation must be present in the Vehicle when road testing is performed. 6) Insurance is Primary / Limitation of Shop Liability Customer acknowledges that Customer’s insurance policy is primary for any loss, damage, theft, vandalism, weather-related damage, fire, or other casualty, including while the Vehicle is parked, stored, moved, test-driven, or otherwise handled by the Shop. If the Shop is found liable for any claim, the Shop’s maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by Customer for the specific repair work giving rise to the claim. 7) Parts Warranty New parts supplied by the Shop may be covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty. Warranty coverage is limited to replacement of the defective part as allowed by the supplier/manufacturer. Unless expressly stated in writing, parts warranty does not include: diagnostic time, labor for removal and reinstallation, towing, transport, storage, fluids, shop supplies, consumables, additional repairs caused by the part failure, or any incidental or consequential costs. 8) Refurbished / Used / Remanufactured Parts If Customer authorizes the use of refurbished, remanufactured, or used parts, Customer agrees such parts are provided AS-IS and WITH NO WARRANTY, unless the Shop provides a specific written warranty. 9) Customer-Supplied Parts If Customer supplies parts, Customer accepts all risk as to correctness, quality, compatibility, and warranty. The Shop provides no warranty on customer-supplied parts. Labor associated with customer-supplied parts is billable and non-refundable. 10) Storage, Abandoned Vehicles, and Fees Customer agrees to pick up the Vehicle promptly upon notification that work is complete or the Vehicle is ready for pickup. Customer remains responsible for all charges, storage fees, and applicable costs. 11) Payment Terms / Right to Retain Vehicle Payment is due in full upon completion of work and prior to release of the Vehicle unless otherwise agreed in writing.
